{"id":1664,"date":"2025-08-21T13:45:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-21T13:45:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.audiopathik.net\/?p=1664"},"modified":"2025-10-06T19:24:44","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T19:24:44","slug":"god-and-the-fascists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.audiopathik.net\/de\/2025\/08\/god-and-the-fascists\/","title":{"rendered":"Mit Gott und den Faschisten"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But slander from a church that not only persecuted and massacred millions in the Middle Ages but \u201crepeatedly\u201d and \u201cmost insistently\u201d supported probably the greatest criminal of all time in the twentieth century; which in 1933 \u201cwould not withdraw the powers of the Church from him at any price,\u201d but on the contrary, wanted to procure everyone for his \u201cgreat development work,\u201d which in 1935 \u201cstrictly [rejected] any action or position taken against the state by its members\u201d and also promised \u201cto support the ruler of the German Reich \u2026 with all means necessary\u201d in 1936, which, one year before the war broke out, accompanied Hitler\u2019s \u201cwork for the future with their highest blessings.\u201d And, when the war started, the church ordered the Catholic soldiers \u201cto do their duty out of obedience to the F\u00fchrer and be prepared to sacrifice their entire person,\u201d which followed his invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941 \u201cwith satisfaction\u201d and affirmed: \u201cWe have repeatedly[!], and in the summer pastoral letter, called upon our believers to fulfill their duty with loyalty, to stand firm courageously, work in willingness to sacrifice and fight with all their might[!] in the service of our people in the most serious times of war,\u201d only to condemn Hitler and the Nazis as soon as they collapsed.
